Kevin is a Chartered Building Surveyor and SCSI Accredited Conservation Surveyor (Grade III) with over 16 years experience in the construction sector dealing with the residential, retail, industrial and commercial sectors. He has coordinated and managed survey teams in the inspection of hundreds of properties along the routes of major infrastructural projects such as the Dublin Port Tunnel, Luas Line Extension and numerous Motorways, as well as a number of waste-water improvement schemes in both urban and rural locations.
Kevin’s experience is broad and diverse ranging from the inspection and reporting of the Wyeth Pharmaceutical Building (now Pfizer's Biotechnology Campus), to numerous food processing plants in the Kerry Foods portfolio, to landmark buildings like the Gaiety Theatre.
Kevin has vast experience of contract administration and tender analysis and a thorough understanding of the construction process, both in a practicable and theoretical sense. He has experience in costing works and issuing payment certs, preparing dilapidations claims, reinstatement valuations and compiling planning and fire safety certificate applications. He is also a trained BER assessor.
Kevin has also spent some time in the IT sector where he was employed as a software Project Manager. In this role he was tasked with developing a web application from initial concept to commercial release, convened and serviced monthly technical meetings with the core steering committee/project team, directed the necessary forward planning to ensure the success of the project, administered financial claims, managed crisis situations and found solutions to the technical and non-technical problems as well as training staff in the use of the new technology/application being developed.
Kevin is proficient in Agile Project Management techniques, he is commercially aware, particularly with regard to time and people management and can bring this valuable practical knowledge and workforce skill into any situation.
